About Me

Anne Gormaley

I am studying biomedical engineering at the University of Florida and I am passionate about creative problem solving and global health. I seek to use cultural context along with my biomedical engineering training to allow better access to medicine.

In June 2019, I will begin training as a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Volunteer for Peace Corps in Panama. Peace Corps has always been a dream of mine and I am extremely excited to be able to apply my Spanish, biomedical engineering, and health communication experience.

After Peace Corps, I will pursue a PhD program in biomedical engineering.

My hobbies include spending time outside and observing all forms of wildlife - from snails and beetles to birds and bears - and creating art. I always try to challenge myself to try new media such as ceramics.
